"Scopello is a very small town, but well worth it for the incredible Cassatelle I had here. I arrived in to Scopello a day earlier than expected and very late in the evening. Staying at a local B&B I woke up early and ventured out to find coffee. This is where I stumbled upon Bar Pasticceria. Here I discovered the Cassatelle - folded pastry resembles a small pastie filled with fresh ricotta – lightly sweetened and spiked with a touch of lemon zest, vanilla and honey – and is dusted with icing sugar as it comes out of the fryer. Light as a feather, delicate and fragrant, devouring it with a good espresso. "
