"Schon von Weitem über den Bäumen der Parkanlage sichtbar ist die gigantische Figur eines dreiköpfigen Elefanten. Er stellt Airavata (auf Thai Erawan) dar, den Diener der Hindu-Göttin Indra. Die kolossale kupferne Elefantenfigur steht mit erhobenen Rüsseln in stolzer Haltung da. Sie ist gewaltige 29 Meter hoch, 39 Meter lang und ihr Gewicht wird auf über 150 Tonnen geschätzt. Die Museumsräume befinden sich auf zwei Ebenen im Sockel der Elefantenfigur und in einer dritten im Bauch des Elefanten – eine Repräsentation der buddhistischen Vorstellung des Universums. Im Inneren des Elefanten erwartet die Besucher eine Art Psychotrip durch den buddhistischen Kosmos, kombiniert mit einer Vielzahl an wunderschönen Antiquitäten.🌺🐘🪐 -schöne Gärten in der Umgebung -angemessene Kleidung (Schulter, Knie bedeckt) 400 THB p.P.
