El Chaltén is a small mountain village located at the foot of the majestic Andes and is best known for the Fitz Roy mountain. It is Argentina's national trekking capital. Various hikes lead to spectacular locations with views of turquoise lakes, glaciers and iconic mountain peaks. In this guide I give you all the information you need to make your visit to El Chaltén unforgettable. I advise on the best things to do, where to stay, recommendations on food and I provide you with all the helpful facts you should know beforehand. In addition, you can read how I've experienced the hikes which gives you a detailed description so you know what to expect. I also included my own pictures.

This was our first adventurous trip as a couple where we really toured around Argentina to try and see as much of it as we could in two weeks whilst really trying to get a feel for the places we visited.
