"2.0-mile out-and-back trail near Kaneohe, taking approx. 1.5 hours to complete. It is an easy paved path through a botanical garden with labeled plants/trees. You can either hike or drive to the main station!
Keep in mind, if you go early and/or decide to walk from the guard station at the beginning gate, they will watch you and threaten you if you take out your phone/camera for pictures. They were pretty strict about this when I visited! If you can be super slick about it then you might be fine, however, if they see you then they will take your device to delete the photos, and make you leave! "

"I could not believe this place was totally free! Make sure you give yourself at least 2-3 hours to stroll all of the beautiful trails and just relax and take in the scenery.
There are plenty of signs but you are not allowed to pull over to take photos. There are numerous parking areas throughout the gardens where you can then walk out to the road to take photos.
The gardens are open daily from 9 am to 4 pm. "

"The Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens are located on Oahu's Windward Coast and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountain range. Entrance to the Gardens is free and there are multiple trails and gardens to explore! I recommend driving through the entire park as the last stop will provide unobstructed views of the mountain range and is the perfect place for photos."
