"If you’re looking for an easy day hike in Mestia, this is the perfect choice! Starting early in the morning means you can enjoy it as a leisurely half-day adventure. While some folks might overlook it because it’s not as jaw-droppingly scenic as other hikes, I believe it’s a fantastic way to ease into the beauty of Mestia and Svaneti—especially on your second day. It’s a great chance to get a feel for the climate, elevation gain, and the trail.
The hike takes about 1.5 hours to reach the glacier and about an hour to return. You’ll start with some uphill, but don’t worry—it flattens out after a while and leads you through lovely tree-covered areas before you hit the alpine zone.
We did miss one turn and found ourselves scrambling over some big rocks, but let me tell you, the stunning views and landscapes made it all worth it! "

"A hike by the glacier river that leads to a glacier. I never thought I could do such an easy hike and end up so close to a glacier. Just be careful and don't go to the glacier because we saw really big rocks falling from it, and it can get really dangerous. "
