"A very beautiful and picturesque waterfall that you should definitely pay a visit when in Whangarei. They're located in the suburb of Tikipunga and it's just a short stroll from the car park to get a nice view of the falls. You can also go for a walk along Hatea River. There's also some picknick tables where you could sit down and enjoy your lunch."

"Not many people know this, but you can walk behind the falls! Scramble along the rocks to the left (if you're looking at the falls). It helps if you bring water shoes to protect your feet, but I've done it barefoot. "

"A few minutes stroll from the carpark leads to the lower view of this gorgeous waterfall. Great spot for a stretch break along your way."
