Trattoria dal Billy

"I can not say enough good things about Trattoria dal Billy. Though not AiC certified, I felt they were very well educated about gluten free options and cross-contact procedures. I got a good feeling when I called ahead of time to inquire and my intuition was further confirmed when I arrived in person. They let me know that they can make all of their pastas gluten free and all of their second courses as well. I ordered the grilled fresh fish of the day (so SO yummy) and grilled vegetables and they assured me that no gluten-containing items are ever placed on the grill. They even took my Equal Eats translation card back to the kitchen to make sure the chefs understood. Though not all of their desserts are available gluten free, they were able to make me an affogato with sciacchetrà (the dessert wine produced locally in Cinque Terre) and it was absolutely delightful. I enjoyed Trattoria dal Billy so much I ended up coming back a second time when a different restaurant didn't pan out. Be prepared for a bit of a climb to make it up here but the amazing view is worth it. This is a popular restaurant so reservations are necessary. "
