Taipei is a BIG foodie destination, but you will find that a lot of the traditional dishes are heavy on the meat. We spent a week in Taipei (almost exclusively eating) to find all the best spots for vegetarians and the best dishes that are actually naturally vegetarian. Honestly, the food is so tasty that I would go back to Taiwan just to eat! This guide is full of recommendations for restaurants, breakfast, snacks, night markets, bubble tea, desserts, and convenience store goods. And the info is altogether in an easy-to-use, interactive map. I have also included a few accommodation recommendations so that you have somewhere to lay down after all that food, as well as info on an MRT card so that you can navigate to your all these spots on your phone, and jump on the metro in between foodie spots! You won't find any fancy, luxury spots in this guide, just proper tasty food. So, roll up your sleeves, tie up your hair, and put your elasticated trousers on, let's get stuck in!
