Reaching Perley Rock rewards you with a sense of awe as you gaze upon the towering peaks and pristine valleys that define this remarkable wilderness. This hike is a testament to the raw beauty and grandeur of the Canadian Rockies, inviting you to immerse yourself in nature's masterpiece and discover the true essence of alpine exploration. Covers around 12km and 1269m of elevation gain. Takes around 5 hours. Pro tip: bring crampons to discover the ice cave."
"Perley Rock Trail: 7.4 miles (hard) Overall, this challenging adventure offers lots of elevation with some incredible views and the glacier at the top. The incline is relentless, with some sketchy scrambles, loose rocks and slippery patches of snow. The trail is great with the beautiful glacier at the top and bright blue water lake. The views are surreal all the way up, and there are so many cool waterfalls to see from a distance. Hikers should beware that glaciers are constantly moving and changing. For your safety, do not walk under or on overhanging ice."
