"If you’re feeling brave, take a swimming costume and go for a refreshing dip in the pools at Three Shires Head! The rocks by the side of the pools make for a perfect picnic spot if you just feel like watching. I highly recommend the hiking route below to get there, as it goes through fields, woodlands, marshlands and has some fun footpath gates in between. I did this route in October and November and both times went for a dip in the pools (yes it is very chilly) but this route can definitely be done at any time in the year. There is some parking where the start of the route on the map is, however, if you are not able to find a spot, there are usually some just down the hill from Crag Hall opposite the bridge. Then just join the route on the footpath that goes up the hill. "
"A charming series of small waterfalls and pools at the meeting point of three counties. The picturesque setting includes an ancient packhorse bridge."
