Four-Day Itinerary In The Peak District National Park, UK

Abi
4 day camping trip in the Peak District, for waterfall chasers and hidden gem searchers. Including personally made walking/hiking routes and links to view the maps. After spending so much of my life in rural England, I have always loved the breathtaking beauty of the Peak District. Having used this exact plan personally, the itinerary is perfect for a long-weekend getaway for anyone wanting to see the best this park has to offer. Over the course of four days, you'll immerse yourself in the rugged landscapes, wild swimming spots and charming villages of this National Park. Included in this itinerary is: - Recommendations of places to stay - 6 different places to visit and explore - 3 hiking trails and options to make the routes shorter if you would like (with links to OS maps) - Recommendations of places to eat - Unique tips and tricks from my own visits to these wonderful places If camping isn't for you, also included is the option of a beautiful Airbnb.

Welcome!

From adventurous hikes to serene moments by the water, each day will present a new opportunity to connect with nature. I’m grateful to you for choosing my itinerary and I hope you share the same passion as I do for this amazing landscape. So, lace up your hiking boots, pack your essentials, and get ready to embark on a journey that will rejuvenate your spirit. Welcome to your 4-day camping escape in the heart of the Peak District!

I recommend that you will need a car to get to each of the destinations as there is not easy public transport. The drives between each of the points is roughly half an hour or shorter and will take you through winding single tracks and open fields on the tops of the peaks, providing beautiful views in itself!

Where To Stay

Big Hillsdale Farm Camping
@takemetravelling
Big Hillside is a fantastic campsite with unobstructed views over Manifold valley below. The site has great facilities with warm showers, as well as fridge/freezers available to use. Your stay is within walking distance to Butterton, a small village with a great pub (which is mentioned a little more later on!). I have added the booking link however the easiest way to book is to either call or email the farm directly. Please note that campsites will usually be a little busier in peak summer and on weekends!
