"Enjoy 7,000 extraordinary plant and tree species at the Botanical Garden of the Technical University. With around 2.5 hectares, it is the largest continuous green space near the center of Delft. Exactly 100 years ago - in 1917 - Gerrit van Iterson founded the Cultuurtuin voor Technische Gewassen (Cultivation Garden for Technical Crops) to grow plants for research and education in technological applications of crops from all climate zones."
