Hotel Johannes Vermeer is a distinctive hotel, located in an old cigar factory in the center of Delft. You can look forward to spacious rooms and enjoy a delicious breakfast. I really love that each room has its own unique style, giving the hotel a very homely feeling. I personally think that the location is perfect, within walking distance of the market and the shops. The parking garage was also nearby.

Hotel Grand Canal is peacefully situated in the center of Delft, yet only 150 meters away from Delft Central Station, where you can find various public transportation options. All rooms are cozy and overlook the canal. This former canal house served as a city prison and previously as a storage place for the Dutch East India Company (VOC).

My absolute favorite! Fresh smoothies, delicious coffee, fresh tea, incredibly tasty sandwiches, and salads. The ambiance is really cozy, nicely decorated. Be sure to make a reservation because it's always super busy!

A typical hip and happening restaurant that you can find in any city, but that's not a negative thing at all. In fact, we love those velvet chairs, clear menus, plenty of plants, and a touch of industrial accents in the interior. Strike a pose! #2 SELFIEMUUR AT SUPR DELFT Selfie time! Delft Blue is not only found in De Bonte Ossteeg. At Sup-R, you'll find a Delft Blue selfie wall with modern and authentic details. Spot the Girl with a Pearl Earring by Vermeer and a cool Volkswagen bus. You can't miss the perfect selfie spot here! Stone wall with a blue mural of the Girl with a Pearl Earring #3 THE BLUE HEART Let's stay in the blue mood. Next to the Nieuwe Kerk, you'll find a very large blue heart. The Oostpoort was built around 1400 and is the only remaining city gate in Delft. Click away! #6 TOWER OF THE NIEUWE KERK How cool is a photo with a view of the entire city? If you're not afraid of heights, you must climb the tower of the Nieuwe Kerk. This mill is the only one of the 18 mills that once turned in Delft that still stands today. Enjoy 7,000 extraordinary plant and tree species at the Botanical Garden of the Technical University. With around 2.5 hectares, it is the largest continuous green space near the center of Delft. Exactly 100 years ago - in 1917 - Gerrit van Iterson founded the Cultuurtuin voor Technische Gewassen (Cultivation Garden for Technical Crops) to grow plants for research and education in technological applications of crops from all climate zones.

Just about 30 minutes away from Delft, you'll find Scheveningen beach. It's a perfect escape from the city for a day, where you can enjoy the sun, sea, and sand. Scheveningen beach is easily accessible by public transport from Delft. You can hop on a train or tram and be there in no time, making it a convenient and enjoyable trip for a day of relaxation and beach fun.
