Hotel Johannes Vermeer
@destinationdiscovery
Hotel Johannes Vermeer is a distinctive hotel, located in an old cigar factory in the center of Delft. You can look forward to spacious rooms and enjoy a delicious breakfast. I really love that each room has its own unique style, giving the hotel a very homely feeling. I personally think that the location is perfect, within walking distance of the market and the shops. The parking garage was also nearby.

Hotel Grand Canal
@destinationdiscovery
Hotel Grand Canal is peacefully situated in the center of Delft, yet only 150 meters away from Delft Central Station, where you can find various public transportation options.
All rooms are cozy and overlook the canal. This former canal house served as a city prison and previously as a storage place for the Dutch East India Company (VOC).

Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish; fans of Mediterranean cuisine are in for a treat at Lakila. The menu consists of small seasonal dishes that appear on your table like colorful artworks. An extra reason to come back? 'Seasonal' means that every three months, something new will be on the menu.

De Centrale
@destinationdiscovery
Modern art on the walls, culinary art on your plate. De Centrale is a trendy place where you'll want to take a picture of every dish. Rightfully earning its spot among the list of great restaurants in Delft, it doesn't have that annoying insta-vibe; it's an authentic place where they simply love good food and pleasant wines. You can enjoy both pleasures with a 4-, 5-, 6-, or 7-course dinner, or simply drop by for a good drink.

Restaurant Kruydt
@destinationdiscovery
A typical hip and happening restaurant that you can find in any city, but that's not a negative thing at all. In fact, we love those velvet chairs, clear menus, plenty of plants, and a touch of industrial accents in the interior. Anyway, for a great restaurant in Delft, you simply have to go to Kruydt.

VVV Delft - city walk
@destinationdiscovery
By taking a city walk, you can get to know the city quickly and well. At the VVV Delft (Stationsplein 7), you can purchase a route map for a historical walk or the Vermeer walk. Here are my favorite points:
#1 DE BONTE OSSTEEG
A Delft Blue picture cannot be missed on your film roll. In De Bonte Ossteeg, you'll find a Delft Blue wall and cow. Strike a pose!
#2 SELFIEMUUR AT SUPR DELFT
Selfie time! Delft Blue is not only found in De Bonte Ossteeg. At Sup-R, you'll find a Delft Blue selfie wall with modern and authentic details. Spot the Girl with a Pearl Earring by Vermeer and a cool Volkswagen bus. You can't miss the perfect selfie spot here!
Stone wall with a blue mural of the Girl with a Pearl Earring
#3 THE BLUE HEART
Let's stay in the blue mood. Next to the Nieuwe Kerk, you'll find a very large blue heart. Perfect for a romantic photo with your loved ones. #smile
#4 DE OOSTPOORT
But there's more to capture! Take a look at the beautiful architecture in Delft. The Oostpoort was built around 1400 and is the only remaining city gate in Delft. The towers and green surroundings make the Oostpoort an idyllic scene!
#5 BRIDGE ON OUDE DELFT
Actually, all bridges in the city center of Delft are Instagram-worthy! Everyone stops to take a photo of the amazing view of the canals. But this bridge on Oude Delft offers a particularly special view... Through the trees, you can see the Oude Kerk (Old Church). Click away!
#6 TOWER OF THE NIEUWE KERK
How cool is a photo with a view of the entire city? If you're not afraid of heights, you must climb the tower of the Nieuwe Kerk. It's the highest point in Delft! But the view and the photo are totally worth it.

#7 MOLEN DE ROOS
For a truly Dutch shot, don't miss Molen de Roos. This mill is the only one of the 18 mills that once turned in Delft that still stands today. It is now a vibrant, open, and working icon of Delft.
#8 SINT AGATHAPLEIN
Another beautiful spot in Delft is Sint Agathaplein. In autumn, the sunlight shines beautifully through the tall trees. One click and you'll have the perfect Insta shot. Don't miss it!
Sint Agathaplein courtyard Prinsenhof
#9 TROMPETSTRAAT
Trompetstraat is a place where tourists and photographers love to go, and it's not without reason! From this spot, you'll have a magnificent view of the Nieuwe Kerk. The colorful houses add a playful touch!
#10 VROUWENREGT
The last place you must visit is Vrouwenregt. Besides beautiful bridges, you'll photograph the most famous bike in Delft. Instagram time!
