What people say

"Pokohino Beach was just WOW! A hidden gem so worth the way to get there. An unsealed forestry road leads 3 km to a parking lot. From there it's about 15-20 minutes waslk through the forest down to the beach. The moment the trees lift and set free the view on the bay, you will know that it was worth it. The water is a beautiful turquoise/green colour and when you step closer it's perfectly clear and light blue. It was such a wonderful place to be at and swimming there was amazing. I discovered a small entrance in the rock wall and went to see what it was. I walked through the opening and into an incredible cave that filled with waves and led into the ocean. This place was magical and I just couldn't believe it! I think I could have spent hours in there marvelling at the cave shape and structure while the waves kept coming in. "

"Trek down a gravel road and a 20-30 minute hike down to this hidden gem with a cave for exploring. The hike back is uphill and the gravel road bumpy so make sure both your vehicle and fitness level are suitable."
"Rugged, never that busy, and the colour of those waves?! Epic,"
