Dating back over 1000 years, Yasaka Shrine is dedicated to the Shinto goddess Konohanasakuya, who represents cherry blossoms. The shrine is a place of prayer and offerings, where visitors can buy good luck amulets and write their wishes on wooden tablets called ema.
