"They have normal options also vegetarian pizza and halloumi burger Booming in popularity, Under the Swahili Tree is a firm family favourite since it opened in the latter half of 2022. Set in delightful gardens off Marula Lane in Karen, there’s space for the kiddies to run around and on weekends they have a bouncy castle, make your own pizzas and often pottery making or face-painting. There’s a wide menu ranging from snapper taco’s, pizzas, currys, and salads and there’s nearly always a special think crab burgers or lamb tagine and they do a mean Sunday Roast. Emma, the owner, is excellent at setting up events, they’ve held karaoke, gin tasting nights, speed dating and art exhibitions to name just a few.
