"You can easily make Eze a full-day trip, especially if you choose to walk up and/or down from the top. If you do this, note that it's a proper hike and pretty steep in some parts, so sturdy shoes are recommended. I accidentally hiked down in Birkenstock sandals and it was... not a good idea. Even without hiking up or down, please don't try to cram this into a half-day! You will feel rushed and this adorable town deserves a more leisurely pace, in my opinion. Eze's charm is in it's windy, cobblestone streets. Every turn you make there's something pretty to look at. There are also TONS of little art shops and boutiques, so I really recommend popping into some of these to check out the work of local artisans. I got a bright print of Eze village on my last visit there and it's one of my favorite wall pieces in my apartment. (See pic.) You'll see olive wood shops as well with cute pieces - if you need anything for your kitchen, this can be a great souvenir. I got one of those salt bowls with the twisty lid on top and I use it all the time! (See pic.) "

"Filled with medieval buildings, narrow stoned passages and awe-inspiring views over the Mediterranean Sea, Eze is very much worth a visit. It is nestled between Monaco and Nice and is common for people to visit on a day trip! A must do on the trip is the Nietzsche Trail - a hike that leads you to Eze Sur Mer (the beach). It is not a difficult hike but isn't relatively easy either but the view makes every step worth it. *TIP: Enjoy a drink or a croissant (or both!) on the terrace at Chateau Eza. Though pricey, €14 for a bowl of mixed croissants, it is a rewarding treat and a great to way to take in the magnificent scenery!*"

"Eze is a stunning, hilltop medieval village located 1,400 feet above the French Mediterranean. It's very close to Nice and Monaco. Its location, so close to other French Riveria attractions, makes it a perfect day trip. The small fishing port of Cassis is a lively yet understated beach town in the south of France."
