"Nested on top of Mount Muk Yue, Tian Tan Buddha (also commonly known as the Big Buddha) faces north towards Beijing, China. Visitors can climb the 268 steps to get an up-close view of this magnificent giant Buddha statue.
There's a viewing platform at the top (offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains as well as the Po Lin Monastery) and some kind of exhibition / museum inside the statue with a souvenir shop.
OPENING TIMES:
Monday to Sunday (including public holidays)
10 am to 5:30 pm.
