"Only about a 2 minute walk from Borough Market, The George is the last surviving galleried inn throughout all of London. Built in 17th century, this inn has withstood the test of time, providing a welcoming social space for guests for over 300 years! It houses a really rare 18th century clock that was used by patrons to keep track of their coach times while they enjoyed a pint or two! Charles Dickens was also regular when the coffee house was in operation.
It now functions as a modern day pub and restaurant where you can grab a Sunday roast with you and your mates. If you are a history buff like me, this is definitely a sight you must indulge in while in London. "

"Most of the seating is outdoors, but this is one of the coolest most historic pub experiences in London. It's said that Shakespeare drank here!"
