You may be surprised but the symbol of the city is the great Roman amphitheatre (Arena di Verona), located in the city's largest piazza, the Piazza Bra. Verona is a wonderful city surrounded by hills in the nord of Italy. It is also called the city of love and romance. The city has many attractions that will amaze you. 

Beautiful historic city, sometimes called a little Rome because of its large amphitheater. Partially in ruins but hosts performances every summer! 

Verona is only a 20 minute train from the southern side of Lake Garda and is a beautiful city to visit.
