What people say
Jivanny Terrero
"Guatavita is a picturesque town located about 75 kilometers (47 miles) northeast of Bogotá, nestled in the mountains near the famous Laguna de Guatavita. The town is known for its whitewashed colonial architecture, cobblestone streets, and terracotta roofs. A beautiful place full of history, nature, and the legend of El Dorado, as the nearby lagoon is believed to have inspired the legend of a lost city of gold. The area offers opportunities for hiking, boating on the Tomine Reservoir, and exploring local markets and artisan shops. "
