The Royal Armoury

"The Royal Armoury (Livrustkammaren) is a prominent museum located within the Royal Palace in Stockholm, Sweden. Established in 1628 by King Gustavus Adolphus, it is recognized as the oldest museum in Sweden. The museum was founded with the intention of preserving military artifacts and royal garments, beginning with the king's clothing from his campaign in Poland. While the Treaty of Oliwa, signed in 1660, stipulated that all war booty should be returned to Poland, Sweden has only returned about 0.1% of these items to date.
