"Observatorielunden is a picturesque park situated on Observatoriekullen, a steep hill that is one of the last remnants of Brunkebergsåsen, an esker that once spanned much of the Norrmalm district of Stockholm. The park is bordered by several streets: Odengatan to the north, Sveavägen to the east, Kungstensgatan to the south, and Drottninggatan to the southwest, with Norrtullsgatan, Sandåsgatan, and Gyldéngatan to the west.
Atop the hill stands the Old Stockholm Observatory, which dates back to 1753 and is notable for housing a meteorological station that has recorded daily temperature measurements since 1756, making it the oldest continuous temperature record in the world. The observatory is complemented by the nearby Stockholm Public Library and the Stockholm School of Economics. In the northeastern corner of Observatorielunden, visitors can find the bronze sculpture "Kentauren," created in 1936 by artist Sigrid Fridman.
The area not only serves as a green retreat for locals and visitors but also holds historical significance, with the Observatory Museum opening to the public in 1991, allowing visitors to explore the rich scientific history associated with this iconic site."

"The city feels far away here, a lush green oasis with amazing views of the city. And the perfect spot for dog lovers. Watch as furry friends enjoy their daily walks, making it a perfect place for dog-spotting.
Psst! Don’t miss out on a typical Swedish fika. Treat yourself to Swedish waffles (våfflor) and coffee at café, Kafe Himlavalvet, right on top of the the hill. "
