"The owners of Veganaki have a long history in Athens' culinary scene. Beginning as an eatery serving good street cuisine in 2005, the establishment progressively transitioned to a vegan diet in 2014 before acquiring its current name and becoming a regular restaurant in 2019. The restaurant hasn't forgotten its roots in street cuisine, though, and several of its dishes are among the best vegan street food in Athens. With oven-baked veggie burgers composed of cauliflower, pumpkin, and carrots wrapped in an Arabic rice pita, "Lachanoulis" is a great option here. "

"This is a great option if you're looking for traditional Greek food! Additionally, the entire menu is gluten-free; perfect for even the most restrictive diets! I personally recommend the hummus and pastitio!"
Colleen Mader
"Veganaki, meaning "little vegan" in Greek, is my absolute favorite spot in Athens for vegan food. They have vegan versions of meat dishes like pastitsio, souvlaki, moussaka, gyros, tzasiki and feta cheese."
