Po Lin Monastery

What people say

"Po Lin Monastery (寶蓮禪寺) is a buddhist temple located on Ngong Ping plateau and facing the Big Buddha. Once known as the "Big Thatched Hut," this serene sanctuary offers a glimpse into Hong Kong's spiritual heritage. Open Monday to Sunday (including public holidays) from 9 am to 6 pm. We highly recommend you eat at the temple's vegerian kitchen. "
"Head towards the area south to get a good unobstructed view of the big buddha. This is also the spot you would see worshippers pray to the big Buddha from afar."
"The Monastery has a restaurant onsite to enjoy a vegetarian meal."
