While smaller and less bustling than the main Old Town Harbour, Dubrovnik West Harbour offers a unique and peaceful atmosphere, captivating scenery, and interesting things to see and do.
During Dubrovnik's early history, starting in the 13th century, the West Harbour served as the city's primary port, welcoming trade ships and visitors. Over time, as Dubrovnik's maritime trade expanded, the larger Old Town Harbour was constructed, and the West Harbour transitioned to primarily serve local fishing boats and leisure activities. Despite its changed role, remnants of the harbor's historical significance remain, including the 15th-century Lazzaretto building, once used as a quarantine station for arriving ships."

"Just outside of the city walls lies Pile bay (may show on maps as Dubrovnik West Harbour), the little part of the sea which stands in for the famous Blackwater Bay and, in real life, is where numerous sea kayaking tours leave and return to every day.
What better way to sea King’s Landing that to row out of it past some of the shows filming locations, such as the jetty where Sansa and Shae had their conversation about the ships out on the water, the beach where Cersei waited for Myrcella and Jaime to return, and the section of the walls that the butchers who killed Robert’s dead babies walked across to find the hidden ones.
Just don’t do a Gendry and keep rowing forever! "
