Lisbon surprised me in many ways. Her colors are bright but never garish; she's bustling and crowded, yet still romantic, like a low, elegant fado.

I love discovering the unique cafés, meeting talented artisans, and unexpectedly finding stunning views of the city or the ocean around a corner. I’ve truly fallen in love with her.

Manteigaria - Fábrica de Pastéis de Nata

There are several Manteigaria outlets throughout Portugal, where you can get the ubiquitous pastéis de nata. It's an egg custard tart pastry sometimes topped with cinnamon (or powdered sugar). 

Manteigaria gives the original Pastel de Belém a run for its money as the best pastéis de nata. You can find these tarts everywhere, and it's fun to compare and see which ones you like best! 

they only sell "pastéis de nata" and for me they're the best in lisbon <3

they are in more than 5 different addresses, but my favorite is the one at Rua Augusta. despite being very touristy, the store is classic and the interior is beautiful! 

Without doubts the most famous place to eat Pasteis de nata in the city of Lisbon, for many people it's the best one! There are many stores around the city and you can also see how they make it.
