"King Power Mahanakhon, formerly known as MahaNakhon, is a striking mixed-use skyscraper located in the heart of Bangkok’s Silom/Sathon central business district. The building, which opened in December 2016, features an innovative design with a glass curtain wall and a distinctive cuboid-shaped helix cut into its side, creating a unique and modern aesthetic. Standing at 314.2 meters (1,031 feet) with 77 floors, King Power Mahanakhon was recognized as the tallest building in Thailand upon its completion in 2016, a title it held until the Magnolias Waterfront Residences surpassed it in 2018.
The skyscraper houses a variety of functions, including a hotel, retail spaces, and luxurious residences. Among the residential units, the 200 Ritz-Carlton Residences, Bangkok, are among the most expensive in the city, with prices ranging from approximately $1,100,000 to $17,000,000. The building was originally developed by PACE Development under the leadership of CEO Sorapoj Techakraisri but was acquired by the King Power Group in April 2018. As a result of the purchase, the building was renamed to King Power Mahanakhon, further solidifying its place as an iconic structure in the Bangkok skyline."
