What people say

"Experience the heart of Korean culture on Insadong Street. This bustling thoroughfare is a feast for the senses, brimming with art galleries, traditional restaurants, and charming teahouses. Admire the beautiful Hangeul script adorning storefronts, a unique touch that sets Insadong apart. Unlike the more intimate Ikseon-dong, Insadong offers a wider, more open atmosphere. In the evenings and weekends, the street comes alive with the sounds of street performers, creating an unforgettable experience. Tip: Visit the Ssamjigil-Shopping Center located along the street. It hosts cute handmade souvenirs and on top is the popular Poop Cafe. Opening times:  Depends on the stores along the street Closest Subway Station:  Anguk Station Exit 6 "
"Nestled in the heart of Seoul, Insadong is a cultural treasure trove where tradition and creativity converge. This enchanting district invites you to meander through its quaint streets, where art galleries, antique shops, and artisan boutiques beckon with unique treasures. Discover the rich tapestry of Korean arts and crafts, from delicate hanbok garments to intricately designed ceramics and calligraphy brushes. Take a leisurely stroll and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere, where street performers and tea houses provide moments of respite along the way. Whether you're a connoisseur of art or simply seeking a glimpse into Korea's artistic heritage, Insadong promises a delightful journey through a world of creativity and culture."

"Enjoy Insadong Cultural Street lined with food stalls, craft carts, and boutique shops. This is a great area to find local items (souvenirs) for yourself or loved ones back home. For example, some stores sell traditional and stylish accessories, clothing, scarves, traditional masks, local art, handkerchiefs, colorful chopsticks, handbags, and more. I recommend getting lost in Insadong's Alleys. This area has a traditional vibe with lots of tea shops and old-style restaurants. It's also located nearby Bukchon Hanok Village. Shopping tips Before you buy an item here I recommend visiting several shops to check and compare the price. "
