"After a visit to the Catacombs of San Gaudioso, you definitely have to visit this place! A ticket to either catacomb gives you a free entrance to the other valid for 1 year. I took the English tour, and I can tell that the guides are not only well prepared-but their English is excellent. The tour takes about an hour.
It is amazing to me how there is practically another world beneath the busy streets of Naples. Each step underground is a step into history dating back to the 2nd century. Pretty cool. Tickets are available online and I strongly suggest that you reserve in advance.
The entrance is next to the Basilica del Buon Consiglio,
Via Capodimonte, 13.
Opening hours
From Mondays to Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm (Last admission 5 pm)ù
Tickets are 11 Euro for adults ( 7 Euro if you have the Artecard), 5 Euro for under 18 years old, under 6 years old are free. "

"This is one of the most impressive tours in Naples, so be sure to buy your timed-entry ticket ahead of time.
The Catacombs of San Gennaro are among the oldest and most important Christian sites. The earliest Christian communities in the Roman world gathered here for worship, baptism, and to bury their dead. This enormous underground complex became filled with garbage until a local cultural association cleaned it, organized access for tourists, and enlisted residents to give historical tours.
It is interesting, evocative, and an "Indiana Jones" esque experience. "

"They are situated in the northern part of the city, on the slope leading up to Capodimonte, consisting of two levels, San Gennaro Superiore, and San Gennaro Inferiore. They are one of the most important archeological and religious sites of the city. Inside the catacombs there are buried both the first cristians and San Gennaro, the patron of Naples. "
