What people say

"Every great panoramic shot usually comes after a lot of stair-climbing or hiking to the top of a cliff or something, right? Marjan Hill is 123 m high and it is also called the "lungs of the city" because it’s covered with Mediterranean flora and dense pine forest. Marjan Hill can be found on Google Maps as “Prva Vidilica Na Marjanu” and you can find it by strolling up Sperun Ulica, which starts west of the Riva Promenade. The landscape is breathtaking, but there are A LOT of stairs, so be prepared with proper shoes and water! That being said, I assure you, you won’t regret the effort it took to get to the top."
"The Marjan Hill Stairs, also known as Marjanske skale, are a series of walking paths that lead up the slopes of Marjan Hill in Split, Croatia. These scenic stairs offer a challenging yet rewarding climb to the peak, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the city, the harbor, and the surrounding Adriatic coastline. The hike is a popular activity for both locals and tourists, especially during the spring and fall months when the weather is mild. The stairs are well-maintained and surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation, making for a pleasant and refreshing journey."

"I think this has to be my favourite viewpoint of Split! It is hard to compete with the bell tower though. After a night out, it is great exercise to climb these stairs and trust me, the view is worth it. There is also a bar and restaurant at one of the viewpoints, where I had a beer and lunch on my way down. "
