"No trip to San Diego is complete without a stop at the beach! If you are looking for calm kid friendly waters, this is the place! Scope out a spot near a porta-potty for kids and enjoy watching the water craft. The inland side of the island will have calmer waters while the outer side of the island will have some slightly bigger waves (although still pretty docile)."
