"I had the pleasure of staying at Anantara Kihavah Villas, located on the breathtaking Kihavah Huravalhi Island in Baa Atoll. This luxurious resort features villas with private infinity pools, and is surrounded by coral reefs and a beautiful blue lagoon. The resort also offers free WiFi access and an over-water spa, perfect for relaxation. Upon arrival, I was impressed with the spacious Pool Villas and Residences, some of which were situated above the crystal-clear waters, while others were along a pristine stretch of virgin sand. The air-conditioned villas were beautifully furnished with fine wood furnishings and premium cotton bedding. I particularly enjoyed the oversized bathtub, outdoor dining pavilion, and the entertainment system with a flat-screen TV, iPod dock, and DVD player. Wine chiller, espresso machine, and fully-stocked minibar were also included. My villa offered absolute privacy, beach and ocean access, personalised iPad concierge services, and a dedicated Villa Host on call 24 hours a day to help tailor-create my dream escape to the finest detail. I had a range of water sports to choose from, including wake-boarding, windsurfing, canoeing, catamaran sailing, and snorkelling. For those who love to exercise, there was a tennis court and fitness centre on site. One of the highlights of my stay was the opportunity to swim with majestic manta rays and snorkel at one of the world’s most treasured house-reefs, just steps away from my villa. I also enjoyed stargazing into the night at the world’s only over water observatory. Young guests were treated to an unforgettable holiday experience with mini-master chef classes, a giant trampoline park at the Kid’s Club, children’s amenities, and pampering sessions curated especially for young travellers at the over-water spa. The resort offered unique dining experiences in the Maldives, ranging from a gourmet breakfast of live cooking stations on the beach to theatrical Teppanyaki cuisine. I was also excited to experience the multi-award winning underwater restaurant, SEA, which was truly a once-in-a-lifetime gastronomic experience that integrated itself with the surrounding beauty of the vibrant coral reefs."
