Sedona offers a bunch of activities for all travelers from adventurous to relaxed, as well as for those who wish to stroll the splendid streets of Uptown or Gallery Row. Sedona’s red rocks are a reminder of nature’s splendor and an invitation to a world of exciting outdoor activities. Make sure before going to bed at night you take a few minutes to stargaze, it's truly incredible. Let's discover this amazing place together!

For the past couple of years, Sarah, my best friend from college, and I have planned a girls trip in the winter months. It's one of my favorite weekends of the year. This year's trip was to Sedona, Arizona over the first weekend in March! 

Unfortunately, we got a little unlucky with the weather as it snowed 8 inches the night before we flew. They typically only get a couple of inches all winter so unfortunately, it meant it was too wet to hike most of the area. 

But we didn't let a little snow hold us back! We still tried a few hikes and explored the area. Here's everything we did over three days in Sedona. Everything in this guide has been tried and vetted by yours truly!

Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill

This restaurant is so romantic and magical. Inspired by butterflies and latin cuisine, This dining experience made me feel like I was royalty. My favorite are the beef empanadas so flavorful, their steak cooked to perfection, and their rainbow trout. If you have a sweet tooth I recommend the prickly pear cheesecake and ask what their seasonal desserts are, During their festive season they have an apple crumb dessert reminds me of an apple pie with ice cream (yum).

Their mountain views are unbelievable and the fact that they grow herbs on site ensured to me that they do use fresh and local ingredients to prepare food.

An upscale restaurant with a Latin inspired menu and amazing red rock views. Reservations are  required & there is a dress code  

Try the Grilled Salmon with aji amarillo glaze, quinoa, and roasted vegetables for a flavorful Latin-inspired dish

We came to find out that Chef Lisa Dahl is like a local celebrity!
