What people say

"This arrondissement has a very special place in the hearts of the romantics. Firstly, I always seem to find this part of the town to be most life-filled, if you get what I'm saying. The cobblestone neighbourhood has some unique spots to pay attention to. For starts, there is the glorious Basilica of Sacre-Coeur, from which you can get a not-to-shabby view of Paris. After you take in the view, rise above the Basilica and wonder around this village part of the town. There are countless cute little bistros to grab anything from coffee to dinner, all while enjoying the view of artists painting and selling their work. A more special location is hidden on the 2 Rue de l'Abreuvoir, and it's called La Maison Rose - a small and utterly charming French restaurant. You will recognise it by the pink exterior. Apart from a nice restaurant, there is the famous black and white photo-booth on 53 rue des Trois Frères, where you can grab a romantic memento from Paris for only 3 euros. For the wine lovers, Montmartre has a secret vineyard called 'Le Clos Montmartre', created by the city of Paris in 1933 to stop developers from over-building this part of town. Probably the best thing you can do is to get yourself to the 18e and get lost in it for one afternoon."
"Explore the artistic labyrinth of Montmartre, where every cobblestone whispers tales of creativity. Ascend to Sacré-Cœur and behold breathtaking panoramic views of Paris. Meander through the enchanting alleyways, adorned with art studios and cozy cafes, each a canvas of inspiration. Yet, when autumn hues paint the Montmartre canvas, there's a celebration that outshines them all – the Fête des Vendanges. It's a symphony for the senses, a grape harvest gala like no other. Savour exquisite wines, get swept away by vibrant parades and music, and watch the night sky ignite with fireworks. Fall in Montmartre becomes an irresistible, sensory masterpiece waiting to be embraced. "
"Where I first fell in love with Paris on a school trip many years ago! Amazing panoramic views over the city, and sweet little cobbled streets make this a very photogenic part of Paris. The romantic artistic vibe remains dominant. Step away from the streets closest to Sacré Cœur if you want to avoid the crowds. If you are here in October, be sure to pay a visit to Clos Monmartre, the oldest vineyard in the city. During the five day Harvest Festival (Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre) it is open to the public, with concerts and parades held in the vineyard and surrounding area. Wine produced during the week is on sale, with all proceeds going to charity. "
