"Ultimate spot if you're craving some vegan Korean comfort food with a homely vibe. The dishes here taste like they’ve been whipped up in someone's kitchen, full of flavour & love. From the hearty stews to the perfectly seasoned veggies, every bite feels like a warm hug. It’s got that cosy, down-to-earth atmosphere that makes you want to linger a bit longer. Perfect for when you’re after something that tastes just like homemade, minus the effort. 🌱  Vegan 🍽️ Korean cuisine"
"Seoul vegan restaurant owned by well-known Korean vegetarian food company, Vegifood. Food is mostly Korean and Chinese with a few pasta and salad dishes. Onion and garlic used in some dishes."

Explore Seoul's Vegan Food Scene with this Guide to Vegan Eateries in South Korea's Capitol City. What's included: 🌱 INTERACTIVE MAP: Navigate Seoul with this interactive map, highlighting over 80 carefully selected vegan restaurants and cafes across the city's neighborhoods. And in case the GoogleMaps-Link doesn't work: I added the NaverMaps-Link for every single place! 🌱 DIVERSE OPTIONS: From cozy cafes to elegant restaurants, from korean traditional cuisine to western dishes - everything you could possibly want to try when visiting Seoul. 🌱 KOREAN DISHES: Some korean dishes are naturally vegan or can be adapted to be vegan by omitting or substituting some ingredients. I added a list of those dishes. 🌱 HELPFUL PHRASES: As most Koreans unfortunately don't know the differences between vegetarian and vegan, it's often necessary to explain your restrictions. To make this a bit easier for you, you can find the most important translations in this guide too. 🌱 BONUS TIPS: Not just restaurants and cafes - I also included a few vegan options for traditional markets and convenience stores. And a tip how you can order delivery food without a korean phone number or bank account. 🌱 CATEGORIZED: I organized the places into "vegan only" and "vegan option available", so it's easier for you to make a decision and know what to expect. Whether you're a committed vegan, a curious explorer, or someone aiming for healthier choices, this guide hopefully helps you exploring Seoul's vegan culinary world.

Everything you need as a vegetarian or vegan in Seoul. 🌱 I'll keep it real, folks: It's not *easy* but it's manageable. Contents: 30+ vegan-friendly restaurants and cafes, useful apps and phrases, and street food options. Basically: Everything I learned from 28 days as a vegetarian traveller in South Korea (and dozens of hours of research). 🌱 30+ VEGAN FRIENDLY RESTAURANTS This interactive map makes navigating Seoul's vegan and vegetarian food scene easier. 🔗 But because Google Maps isn't always reliable in South Korea, you'll also find NaverMap links for every location. 🗺️ ORGANISED BY NEIGHBOURHOOD Hungry in Insadong? Or want to visit Itaewon but not sure what's available for you? No problem. I've listed each restaurant by neighbourhood. I've included recommendations in 10 different neighbourhoods including: - Myeong-dong | 명동 - Yeonnam-dong | 연남동 - Hongdae | 홍대 - Yongsan | 용산 - Gangnam | 강남 - Seongsu | 성수 - Jongno (near Gyeongbokgung Palace) | 종로 - and more! 🌱 CATEGORISED Each spot is marked as 'vegan', 'vegan options' and 'vegetarian-friendly' so you know what to expect (look out for the little 🌱 plant emoji). I've also categorised whether it's a cafe '🍰' or a restaurant '🍴'. I've also included what kind of food you can expect to find at each location. 🫡 STREET FOOD OPTIONS 15+ Korean street food options for vegetarians and a smaller list (5 options) for vegans. 💬 HELPFUL PHRASES: Because most Koreans don't know the restrictions linked to vegetarianism and veganism, it's often necessary to explain your restrictions. To make this a bit easier, I've included simple phrases you can adapt for your restrictions (and vocabulary). --- ☕️ 🤍 Being a veggie foodie is totally possible in Seoul, it just takes a little extra planning. With this guide, I have no doubt you'll have an incredible foodie experience. 📢 This Seoul foodie guide will be regularly updated so be sure to save it and follow @StormOnTheHorizon (everywhere📲) for updates.
