"Set on the stunning island of Vagaru in the secluded Shaviyani atoll, I stayed at the JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa, which can be reached via a 55-minute scenic seaplane flight from Velana International airport. The luxurious villas with private plunge pools are spread over 22 acres of golden sand and palm trees. The villas feature separate lounges, bedrooms, and bathrooms, all tastefully accented with materials and colors inspired by the natural surroundings and cultural influences of the Maldives. During my stay, I enjoyed dining at the resort's 5 restaurants, 3 bars, wine cellar, and range of beach dining options with entertainment. The resort also offers 24-hour in-villa dining service, as well as memorable destination dining experiences. I also indulged in the resort’s signature Spa by JW, which was a sanctuary of indulgent top-to-toe pampering, offering a menu of luxury spa treatments. For families traveling with children, Little Griffins, a Family by JW kids' club featuring a 13 m long pirate ship, kids' sleeping areas, a servery, games, and educational activities provided hours of fun and entertainment. For guests over 18, the resort offers an adults-only infinity pool area on the tip of Vagaru island, as well as a clubhouse complete with a cigar room, a shisha room, and billiards table. The island's natural reef, just meters from the shore, was unspoiled and teeming with sea life."
