What people say

"If there's one place you need to go wine tasting in Calistoga, this is it. Three floors of tasting rooms in an enormous castle built from the ground up with bricks imported from Italy and hand-painted frescos lining the walls make for a beautiful setting for wine tasting. The tastings are a bit pricey, but most include a tour of the castle and grounds, along with ample variety of wines. From sparkling to white to red to dessert wines, all members of your party are bound to find something they enjoy at Castello di Amorosa. If you have a chance, try their chocolate as well - it pairs amazingly well with their wine. "

"What's more romantic than drinking exquisite wine in a medieval-style Tuscan castle? It doesn't get much better than that, methinks. Make sure to add Castello di Amorosa to your itinerary. Things to know: -You need a reservation or an order pickup in place before they even let you through the front gates. -DO upgrade your experience to a full castle tour and tasting. It doesn't cost much more than the basic standing tasting and you get to see way more of the castle than you would otherwise. -Wear your cutest outfit because you will want to take a LOT of photos here."
"Like the name suggests, it is an actual stone castle and yes you will need a reservation. It was built in the 1990s using the same methods they used to build castles in the 1700s. The architecture is breathtaking and the staff was so hospitable. After checking in we were led on a short basic tour and then handed a map. We were guided to our seats for our tasting and then they let us wander the grounds at our own pace."
