Juan Bowl & Tea
@ethanmoy
One of the best places for matcha lattes and matcha tiramisu with the perfect level of sweetness. Their katsu is also the best I've had outside of Japan. Make sure you get there an hour before closing to have plenty of time to eat.

The matcha latte here is a little sweeter than others, but absolutely delicious. Don't forget to bring your camera because the cafe interior is just as stunning.

TenTo

This place warns you that they serve their matcha lattes in a more Japanese style with a slightly bitter taste. I like it, but you can always ask for it to be sweeter even after you taste it. The cups are also a work of art. Oh, and the ochazuke (basically rice with green tea) paired with their sushi is absolutely delicious.

Cafe Cre Asion

I've had the matcha latte, matcha chiffon cake, and matcha swiss roll here. It's all just perfect.

Come here for the delicious Japanese food, but also don't forget to order a matcha latte.

Matcha-Ya
@ethanmoy
The perfect dessert place after a good meal. I've had the matcha roll cake and the yuzu one, and both were amazing. I've heard great things about the matcha lattes here as well.

If you're looking for Chinese food instead, there's only one place to look (and it's not Chinatown). Check out my guide below to know where!
Burwood, NSW is a suburb of Sydney just 10 minutes away by train from Central Station. This is arguably the best place in Sydney for Chinese food and East Asian food -- from Chinese regional specialties to stuff from Singaporean hawker stands, you can find it here. When you're in Sydney, skip Chinatown and check out these 6 authentic and delicious places (plus 1 extra dessert recommendation)!

- 🌆Are mainly a city person!🌆 And you want to see a bit of everything: the big sites, local historical or cultural spots, the occasional day trip out to nature.
- ✈️Want layover tips or weekend (2-3 day) trips!✈️ Between school and work, it's hard to travel. That's why I've been slipping away during weekends or squeezing a quick visit to somewhere new during a long layover, and you can too.
- 💤Need a full night’s sleep!💤 What’s the point of seeing everything if you’re too tired to enjoy it? Check me out if you want that perfect balance between exploration and relaxation.
