Weekend in Bari 🇮🇹
Pasta
The Puglia region is famous for its cucina povera ("food of the poor"), a cuisine that is simple and tasty and uses only seasonal and local ingredients.
Orecchiette - a unique Pugliese pasta made without using eggs and in the shape of small ears. You'll see them making nonas all over town and in family restaurants where they're a specialty. You can also buy homemade pasta directly from the nonas on the streets.
Historic center and explore the surroundings
A walk of the historic center allows us to discover its most authentic character with hints of its past scattered along the local streets.
Furthermore, there is the famous Bari promenade, one of the most beautiful in Italy, overlooking the clear sea and the unique charm of Bari. All this can take you one day (maximum two days).
