Where is Reims?
Reims, located in the heart of France’s Champagne region, is a city rich in history and culture. Known for its stunning Gothic cathedral where French kings were crowned, it also offers visitors a chance to explore world-renowned champagne houses and enjoy its vibrant culinary scene
Day One
Star your day by exploring the city of Reims itself, its a beautiful place with wonderful shopping and champagne everywhere!
Making a full day in Reims- to save your pennies get yourself a Reims city pass for access to museums
In the evening enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the city, at night all the fountains are illuminated making it very romantic
Day Two
Now you are settled into Reims and no doubt tried a little champagne- lets move onto the good stuff. Reims in home to some major champagne houses and tours and tasting are a must!
For the more energetic take in an E-bike tour of the vineyard surrounding Reims including visiting the village of Hautvilliers- where Champagne originates from
In the evening I recommend L'Atelier for dinner- upscale french cuisine in a very friendly environment
Day Three
Its now time for you to visit one of the larger champagne houses in France- there are so many to choose from but a firm favourite of mine in Reims is Pommery. The cellars are truly stunning, filled with art installations and one of the largest in the region
Where to stay?
A more budget friendly option is to stay at the Holiday Inn- very centrally located
An alternative is the Novotel
If you want to push the boat out a little further but still staying centrally
