Busan, South Korea's second-largest city, is a vibrant coastal metropolis that blends urban living with natural beauty. Known for its stunning beaches, historic temples, and lively markets, Busan offers a diverse array of experiences for travelers. From the busy streets of Haeundae and the serene coastal views at Haedong Yonggungsa Temple to the colourful alleyways of Gamcheon Culture Village, Busan has something for everyone. So let's jump into some of my favourite sites in the city!

Gamcheon Cultural Village

Head over here early in the day to avoid some of the larger crowds-and to make sure you get a spot on the bus! The local bus (No. 1-1 or 2-2)  that services this area is very tiny (think more mini-van size than city bus) and extremely packed during the day. Made more memorable by how quickly the driver whips it around the tight corners as you traverse the narrow road up to the village.

Once there, explore the maze-like streets and find murals and sculptures adorning the area. Often referred to as the "Machu Picchu of Busan", you'll find some great places to take pictures of both you and the amazing views.

Super cute and touristy part of town with winding streets and small vendors selling souvenirs.

Haeundae Beach

One of the most famous beaches, this spot is easy to get to using public transit. It can be quite busy, but is a nice spot to hang out or have a picnic.

Beautiful hilltop views of the surrounding coastline. Beautiful during sunrise, but the views are worth it anytime!

Hands down the best soup I had in Korea. I still think about it over a year later and it will be my first stop when I get back to Busan.

Lotte World Adventure Busan

Amazing. Wonderful. Filled me with childlike joy. There aren't enough good things to be said about LotteWorld Busan, which far outshines it's larger sibling in Seoul.

Skyline Luge Busan

Getting in for free makes this worth it. Conveniently located right next to LotteWorld, you might as well visit both if you're in the area! The speed limits are a tad bit annoying, but it's still a fun ride down.

I'm a basic wellness b*tch and am completely obsessed with jjimjilbangs. This is one of the nicest I've ever been to, and well worth the half day you spend inside.
