"Nicknamed the 'Machu Picchu of Korea' this colourful village can be found in Busan's mountainside. This village is well known for its twisting alleys, steep stairs, and rows of colourful terraced houses. Or you can get creative and make a fun photobook from your visit to the village (refer to the link). Be sure to stop at the Village Information Centre for a stamp map. Don't be afraid to just wander through the alleys to explore the different murals, souvenir shops and cafes. Souvenirs to look out for: There are a variety of artists and residents selling handicrafts in the village including postcards, magnets, keychains and handicrafts. Stops to look out for: 1. The Little Prince 2. The Mural Village 3. The Mirror Wall 4. Haneul Maru Observatory "
"Perched on a hillside overlooking the sea, Gamcheon Culture Village is Busan's hidden gem, a vibrant hillside neighborhood adorned with colorful murals and artistic charm. It's a thriving artistic community, where friendly residents and creative energy make every alleyway a canvas waiting to be explored. Whether you're an art enthusiast or seeking a cultural escape, Gamcheon Culture Village offers an unforgettable journey through Busan's creative heart."
"Gamcheon Culture Village (감천 문화마을) in Busan is known for its vibrant, colorful houses, artistic streets, steep stairs, and twisting alleys. Often called Korea’s Santorini, it’s a popular destination for both locals and tourists. Originally built in the 1920s to relocate the poor, it grew significantly post-Korean War. In 2009, it was transformed into a cultural hub with public art, making it a unique blend of history and creativity."
