They won a James Beard Award for Outstanding Bar Program - one of their cocktails has a rubber ducky in it! The food is also amazing, so try to have a full meal here but at the very least grab a seat at the bar and have a drink before heading to your next plan.

Spoon and Stable
@harper
The Daily Meal put Spoon and Stable in 37th place on their list of 101 best restaurants in America. This is the 37th best restaurant in AMERICA. You might as well order the entire menu. Everything is so good. Whatever you do, do not skip the pastas.

The chef here won a James Beard Award for best chef: Midwest. Everything here is delicious, but you’re coming for the pizzas. The potato leek pizza is amazing, and the Korean bbq pizza simply cannot be missed.

Kramarczuk Sausage Company
@harper
This spot is perfect for lunch. It’s inexpensive, they won a James Beard Award for American Classics, and the food is delicious. They’re a Polish deli and you will 100% want to go back for seconds of their pierogis. The dark horse, which I loved so much more than I expected to, is the cabbage roll (stuffed with meat and rice) with your choice of sauce - I recommend the tomato cream sauce. After your meal, go nextdoor to the sausage shop and buy some Polish sweets for dessert!

Finnish Bistro Coffee & Cafe
@harper
There is a huge Scandinavian population in Minneapolis and lots of Scandinavian influence so getting Scandinavian food is a must. The traditional Finnish breakfast here is excellent but you HAVE to get a side of reindeer sausage. They also have an amazing selection of baked goods and homemade quiches.

Book with Minnestay - their attention to detail is second to none, they’ll provide you with a 5 star experience. This location is also super centrally located and safe, and there are beautiful common areas: a gorgeous rooftop and a fun lobby with shuffle board.

Matt's Bar and Grill
@harper
There are arguments about who created the original Jucy (yes, Jucy, not Juicy) Lucy. But the real answer is Matt’s Bar. Anyone from Minnesota will tell you this. A Jucy Lucy is a cheeseburger with the cheese cooked INSIDE of the patty. If you’re in Minneapolis, you need to get one - and this is where you need to go to get it.
