Porcupine Rim Campground
@venture4wd
Porcupine Rim is an incredible forest service campground in La Sal National Forest, just outside of Moab. It's a first come, first serve, off the beaten path campground that does requires four-wheel drive to access. There are several sites, many of which are cliffside, featuring amazing views. Primitive stone fire rings, some picnic tables, and a single vault toilet. Cell service is decent here. During peak season, this is likely a very popular spot, so expect a social camping experience, and please be mindful of trash and human waste. Since this spot is so close to town and in a beautiful spot, that it should be considered sensitive. While there are junipers, rocks and vegetation offering some shelter, it is high-elevation and on a rim, so expect wind and inclement conditions.
