Where to Stay
We opted to stay in a riad for our accommodations to have a more traditional experience
The riad comes with a maid for cleaning and making breakfast each morning of your stay. The house is a very close walking distance to the souks perfect for shopping.
Personally we stayed in the old city āfor the experienceā but if I were to stay again I would stay in the new city which is a little more modern and touristy just to feel a little safer. We were in a real residential area in our riad and at times we were a tad skeptical for our safety as there werenāt any other travelers staying near us.
Things to Do
Food
One thing I can say about Morocco is that every single place we ate was delicious!! All of the dinner restaurants had a show and were so exciting! And delicious food on top of that.

Tips & Tricks
-For woman, make sure that youāre dressing conservatively
- order some money ahead of time. From your bank or do some research if you can get some from a secure place like the airport that youāre traveling out of. The souks and a lot of other places do not accept card. So make sure that you have at least a couple days worth of money until you can find a reliable bank on Marrakech. They also tip a lot so Make sure to have plenty of small bills.
-only use your right hand for everything. The left hand is considered unclean, because itās usually thought of as the hand you use the bathroom with. So avoid eating, shaking hands , leaving a tip w your left hand.

We only stayed in Marrakech for 3 days but If you have time here are a few things I would recommend doing while youāre there!
