-Museu Picasso: Explore this museum dedicated to Pablo Picasso, featuring many of his early works.
Evening
-Walk to La Barceloneta, seaside neighborhood on the coast
Day Two - Barcelona
Morning
-Sagrada Familia: breathtaking yet unfinished Catholic church designed by Gaudí and considered to be his masterpiece

-Take metro, uber, or walk (35 minutes) to Park Güell: This park combines elements of the famous artist Gaudi’s signature whimsical design with the landscape’s natural beauty to create a truly unique sanctuary within the city.

Day Three - Barcelona
-Montserrat: beautiful mountain range and home to a historic and beautiful monastery just about an hour away from Barcelona city center by train.
How to get there:
--First go to Plaça España train station in Barcelona. The train station is in the same building as the metro station. Follow signs for the R5 train.
--Stay on the R5 train until you reach a stop called Aeri de Montserrat - this is where you will catch the cable car
--Take the cable car from the bottom of Montserrat mountain to Montserrat monastery
Make sure to visit the famous Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey, an active mountain monastery that includes a stunning basilica and an impressive art museum that includes the works of many famous artists, including Picasso, Monet, and Dalí.
Day Four - Madrid
Take 2.5 hour train from Barcelona to Madrid
-Retiro Park: beautifulpark. One of the most photographed places in Madrid
-Prado Museum: Spain's premier art museum, featuring works by Goya, Velázquez, and more
Day Five - Madrid
-Puerta del Sol: One of Madrid's most famous squares. Puerta del Sol has been the site of many important events in Spanish history, including protests and political gatherings. It remains a focal point for public demonstrations.
-Plaza Mayor: Historic square
-Mercado de San Miguel: one of the best food markets in Madrid
-Royal Palace of Madrid: Explore the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family. Open 10am-6pm every day except Sunday open 10am -3pm. Can buy tickets online in advance to avoid waiting in line for tickets
