This is my favorite area to stay in. Central so you are able to walk everywhere, and you can still get a sense of local life
Monti
This is where I grew up! Just a 5 min walk from the Colosseum, it looks like a painting: small cobble stoned alleys, greenery growing on every corner and filled with small boutiques, cafès and wine bars
Trastevere
My favorite neighborhood in Rome, if I could live anywhere it would be here. It can get pretty loud at night (in certain parts of the neighborhood), but for the most part it’s pretty quiet and great if you want to stay away from the crowds
Spanish Steps/Popolo
(these are more of a splurge, some of the most beautiful hotels in Rome. Unfortunately it’s not my favorite area of the city, but these hotels truly are beautiful)
