The Dolomites

Where to Sleep

What to do
Tip for hiking Tri Crime and Cadini
It costs €30 per car to access the area via the toll road leading to Rifugio Auronzo, where the trail starts; this fee covers parking as well.

Via Ferrata
For beginner rock climbers in the Dolomites, the best option is to start with "via ferrata" routes, which are essentially fixed climbing paths with safety cables and handholds, making them ideal for those with limited experience; popular areas for beginner via ferrata include the Sella Towers and Piz Ciavazes due to their shorter approaches and easier routes, and it's highly recommended to hire a certified guide for your first time climbing in the Dolomites.

Transportation
I trained from Rome (Roma Termini) to the train station in Venice Mestre and then took a bus, Via Cappuccina, to the airport to pick up my rental car.
