Dark Heart Coffee Bar
@venture4wd
I discovered Dark Heart while we were in Loveland for Overland Expo Mountain West. I was back almost every morning during our stay, I enjoyed it so much. Small, lovely cafe, with a rustic contemporary vibe, and some outdoor seating.

TipTop
@venture4wd
One of my favorite coffee shops of all time, located in Thomas, WV, not far from Monongahela National Forest and Blackwater Falls. Thomas is a charming, old coal town in the midst of an artistic renaissance. The owners of Tip Top are super-passionate about their business, offering high-quality food and drink. They very recently moved into a new building in town, as of 2022, which I look forward to seeing.

81301 Coffee House and Roasters
@venture4wd
This is the best coffee shop in Durango, having tried most of them. Delicious, well-prepared coffee, great vibe, the staff have been there a while and they really seem to love what they do. Not to mention, the coffee cake is a moist and delicious brick of brown sugar, as it should be!

A little coffee shop tucked in a corner of downtown Tucson. The vibe was great, and it was the best coffee we found during our stay.

Oasis Coffee
@venture4wd
The atmosphere is superb, in the wonderful small town of Ajo, Arizona, where it’s summer year-round. The plaza, landscaped with palm trees is a truly unique setting and a best-kept secret. We had a mocha, dirty chai latte, and a panini, and all are delicious. So this is just a pretty place; their offerings are good and well-crafted, too.

Wild Iris Coffee House
@venture4wd
Our favorite coffee shop in Prescott. Great atmosphere for both relaxing conversation or productivity on a laptop. The coffee is top-notch and this place made my list of favorite coffee shops. I’m there right now!

Morgantown Coffee House
@venture4wd
My son Cole and I stumbled upon Morgantown Coffee House last year. We were surprised by how contemporary it is inside, because the exterior is an unassuming old house. The vibe is fantastic, the coffee is very good, and the breakfast sandwiches are delicious. It's not far off of the PA Turnpike, so it's convenient if you're passing through the area on a road trip. Also close to French Creek State Park and Hopewell Furnace. This is on my short list of favorite coffee shops in the US and Canada.

Ebru Coffee Roastery
@venture4wd
A favorite coffee shop of my entire family, when I’m visiting in Pennsylvania. This is in a tastefully renovated, former corner service/gas station. Great contemporary vibe, delicious coffee and pastries.

PK Coffee Waterbury
@venture4wd
Passing through Waterbury, Vermont, after spending the night in Green Mountain National Forest, Shannon and I stopped at this coffee shop which we enjoyed greatly. It's small, but very comfortable and delicious. The baristas were all smiling and laughing amongst themselves and with the customers... and of course the coffee was delicious. It was a great place to sit and chat over coffee, or open up a laptop. It got a little busy mid-morning, but not too crowded. We can't wait to go back!

Bird's Eye Outfitters
@venture4wd
This is a hybrid coffee shop with pretty good coffee. Most notably, it’s relaxing, comfortable, and also serves quality sandwiches and fare off the grill, a large selection of craft beer, smoothies, outdoor gear, and on top of all this, is an excellent place to open the laptop and do some work. Few places realize the hybrid gastro-cafe as well as Bird’s Eye! I’ve been here twice. Once in 2019 and again in 2022. I had a delicious mocha and a gourmet grilled cheese during my last visit.

Circle Coffee Co.
@venture4wd
A delicious and very well-done coffee shop in Topeka, Kansas. Great contemporary vibe with a lovely patio. Very spacious, and they hit all the right notes. My mocha was wonderfully sweet and roasty, and my croissant was warm, buttery, and freshly baked. Great for either socializing, studying, or doing computer work. Abundant power outlets with USB-C. It’s near the university, so there might be a lot of students. Wonderful find!

Presta Coffee Roasters
@venture4wd
Delicious coffee shop in Tucson with a chic, contemporary, industrial vibe. Small selection of pastries and standard coffee shop fare. While the interior is lovely, seating is limited. There is also a very nice outdoor seating area with umbrellas. Bicycles are mounted on the walls as decor, and there are racks outside.
